What “occurrence” means

The certificate marks the policy “occurrence”, not “claims-made”. That is about timing. An occurrence policy looks at when the injury or damage happened, not at when the claim is made. If it happened inside the policy period, the claim is made under this policy, even after the period has ended.

Coverage limits

What each limit on the certificate means

General liability insurance deals with claims of injury to other people or damage to their property. A limit is the most the policy pays: a ceiling, not a promise that a given loss is covered. The certificate lists six.

Each occurrence

$1,000,000

The most the policy pays for all the bodily injury and property damage that come from any one accident or event (one occurrence), however many people claim.

General aggregate

$2,000,000

The most the policy pays in total during the policy period, apart from completed work. It applies per policy: one total for all jobs, not one for each job.

Completed work

$2,000,000

The most the policy pays in total for injury or damage that arises from work after it is finished. The certificate lists it as products and completed operations.

Personal and advertising injury

$1,000,000

The most the policy pays to any one person or organization for wrongs that are not physical, such as libel, slander or using someone else’s idea in advertising.

Damage to rented premises

$100,000

The most the policy pays for damage, in any one occurrence, to rented premises. That means a space rented to run the business from, such as an office or a workshop.

Medical expense

$5,000

The most the policy pays for any one person’s medical expenses after an accident. It is the part of general liability that does not depend on who was at fault.

The limits are as printed on the certificate dated September 21, 2026. The certificate notes that limits shown may have been reduced by paid claims.

For property managers, HOAs and builders

Need a certificate with your name on it?

If your building, HOA or project needs a certificate on file before we start, ask for one made out to you. The name it is made out to is the certificate holder. An additional insured is something else: a person or organization added to the policy itself.

  1. 1
    Send the name and address

Email or call with the exact name and mailing address to print in the box marked “Certificate holder”.

  2. 2
    Add any contract wording

If your contract asks for an additional insured or other wording, send it to us. We check with the insurer and answer before any work is scheduled.

  3. 3
    Receive your certificate

We send a certificate made out to you. It shows the policy number and the signature that are hidden on this page.

We're here when you need us.
Is Electric All Pro insured, and with which company?

Yes. Electric All Pro carries commercial general liability insurance with Hiscox Insurance Company Inc. (NAIC number 10200). The policy period on the certificate runs from September 2, 2026 to September 2, 2027. The certificate is an ACORD 25 form dated September 21, 2026, and you can open it full size on this page.

How much liability insurance do you carry?

The certificate shows $1,000,000 for each occurrence and $2,000,000 as the general aggregate. Each occurrence is the most the policy pays for one accident or event. The general aggregate is the most it pays in total during the policy period, and it applies per policy, not per job. Completed work has its own aggregate of $2,000,000. The certificate lists three more limits, and this page explains each one.

Can I get a certificate of insurance (COI) that names me as certificate holder?

Yes. Email info@electricallpro.com or call (919) 670-4005 with the exact name and mailing address to print in the box marked “Certificate holder”. The certificate holder is the person or organization the certificate is made out to. Being the holder gives you a record for your file. It does not add you to the policy. The certificate we send shows the policy number and the signature that are hidden on this page.

Can you add us as an additional insured?

Only the insurer can say, so we do not promise it here. An additional insured is a person or organization added to the policy itself, which is more than being named as the certificate holder. The certificate on this page lists none. If your contract requires one, send us the exact wording. We will check with the insurer and give you an answer before any work is scheduled.

Does the insurance still apply after the job is finished?

The certificate lists a limit for that: $2,000,000 for products and completed operations. That is the limit for injury or damage that arises from work after it is finished. The policy is written on an occurrence basis, so what counts is the date the injury or damage happens, not the date of the claim. The policy period on the certificate runs from September 2, 2026 to September 2, 2027. For damage that happens later, what counts is the policy in force on that day.

Why is the policy number hidden, and how do I know the certificate is real?

The policy number, the signature and the insured’s name are hidden on the public copy. A false certificate needs a policy number and a signature, so we do not publish them. To check the certificate, ask us for a copy. The one we send shows the policy number and the authorized representative’s signature. It also names the insurer, Hiscox Insurance Company Inc., and its NAIC number, 10200, which identifies the company.

This page shows a certificate of liability insurance on the ACORD 25 form, dated September 21, 2026. The certificate is issued as information only and gives its holder no rights. It does not change the policy, and neither does anything on this page. The explanations here are our plain-word summaries of standard insurance terms. What is covered, and what is not, is decided by the policy’s own terms, exclusions and conditions.
