Siemens 200-Amp Panel and Kitchen Rewire in Mordecai, Raleigh

This homeowner in Mordecai, Raleigh needed the kitchen wiring brought up to code for a remodel, and the existing panel could not accommodate the new circuit. We rewired the kitchen to match the new layout and replaced the panel with a Siemens 200-amp panel fitted with Siemens arc-fault breakers.

What We Found

The kitchen was not wired to code, and outlets were missing from areas where code requires them. The existing panel did not have enough space for the new circuit.

What We Did

  1. We rewired the kitchen while the walls were open during the remodel.
  2. We set new outlet boxes in the open framing to match the new kitchen layout.
  3. We routed the new wiring through the insulated wall cavities.
  4. We installed a new Siemens 200-amp panel.
  5. We routed the circuit wiring to the new panel.
  6. We installed Siemens arc-fault breakers at the homeowner's request.

The Result

The kitchen now has outlets where code requires them and where the new layout needs them. A new Siemens 200-amp panel replaces the old panel that lacked space for the new circuit.
